Granulated Blast Furnace Slag and GGBFS
GBSF is a by-product of the steel industry obtained by rapid cooling of slag coming from the furnace. GBSF is largely used as cementitious material in blending cements to have durable concrete structures. Cement made with GBFS sets more slowly than ordinary Portland cement but also continues to gain strength over a longer period in production conditions. This results in lower heat of hydration and lower temperature rises. Use of GBSF significantly reduces the risk of damages caused by alkali–silica reaction (ASR), provides higher resistance to chloride ingress reducing the risk of reinforcement corrosion and provides higher resistance to attacks by sulfate and other chemicals. GBFS is supplied in bulk while GGBFS is supplied both in big bags and in bulk.
Dry Fly ash
Fly ash is a by-product of coal fired power plants and it is collected by electrostatic precipitators or filter bags. Two classes of fly ash are defined by ASTM C618: Class F fly ash having pozzolanic properties and Class C fly ash having pozzolanic and also some self-cementing properties. Dry fly ash is a common cementitious material used in blended cement and concrete production. Dry fly ash use in blendend cement improve cement workability and pumpability , reduce water demand and bleeding , improve shrinkage resistance and resistance to sulphate and chloride attack and reduce potential for Alkali-Silica Reaction. Dry fly ash is supplied in bulk and in some cases in big bags.
Pozzolana
Pozzolan is a siliceous or siliceous and aluminous material withvulcanicoriginshoowingpozzolanic activity is used as supplementary cementitious materials in blended cements. The benefits of pozzolan utilization in cement and concrete are the economic gain obtained by replacing a substantial part of the Portland cement by cheaper natural pozzolans, the lowering greenhouse gases emitted per ton of blended cement produced in compare to Portland cement, the durability improvement of the end product and the higher compressive strength at later curing stages. Pozzolan is supplied in bulk.
Silica Fume
Silica fume, also known as microsilica, is an amorphous (non-crystalline) polymorph of silicon dioxide It is an ultrafine powder and consists of spherical particles with an average particle diameter of 150 nm. The main field of application is as pozzolanic material for high performance concrete. Silica fume is added to Portland cement and to concrete to improve compressive strength, bond strength, to reduces the porosities and the permeability of concrete to chlorideions, which protects the reinforcing steel of concrete from corrosion. Silica fume is supplied in big bags.
Cement & Clinker
Portland cements and blended cements with all strengths are supplied in bulk, sling bags and big bags. We have availability also of Oil-well cement , white cement and clinker suitable for all types of cements.
Gypsum
Gypsum is used as setting regulator in cement manufacturing process. We can offfer natural and industrial gypsum with different grade of CaSO4x2H2O (75 %, 85 and > 90 %) and also natural anhydryte with similar grades. We have also gypsum with high grade charaterised by high witheness for white cement production. Gypsum is supplied in bulk
Iron silicate
Glassy material coming from metallurgical industry having around 60 -65 % Fe2O3 content and 25-30 % SiO2 content. The material show high free flowing property and consistent chemestry. It is mainly used as abrasive in shipyard operations. Iron silicate is supplied in bulk.
Mill Scale
Waste material produced in the steel industry having around 92-95 % Fe2O3 and low moisture content. The material we can supply is not polluted by excess of mineral oil, show consistent chemestry and acceptable chromium content. This material is used in cement indutry for raw mix preparation and it is supplied in bulk.
Wet ash
The ash coming from coal fired power plant is supplied also in wet basis to facilitate the handle and the transport and it is used in the cement industry as alumina and silica source for raw mix preparation. Wet ash is supplied in bulk.
Bauxite
Mined material used mainly in the alumina manufacturing process and also in cement industry as source of aluminium oxide for raw mix preparation. We can offer different grades from 52 Al2O3 % up to 58 Al2O3 %. Bauxite is upplied in bulk.
Alumina slag
By-product of alumina process containing arond 75 % of Al2O3. It is supplied in bulk with typical moisture around 15-20 %. This material is used as aluminum oxide source for kiln feed preaparation. Alumina slag is supplied in bulk.
Kaolin
Natural mined material used both in clinker production and in ceramic manufacturing process. We can supply kaolin with different grades and also kaolin with Fe2O3 content below 0,35 % . Kaolin is supplied in bulk.
Calcium fluorite
It is compound of calcium and fluorine (CaF2) which occurs naturally as the mineral fluorite also called fluorspar. It is used as flux agent in different manufacturing process and we have available different grades (50 %, 65 % and 85 %) for different aplications. In cement filed fluorite is used as flux agent to reduce the clinker melting temperature obtaining a significant fuel savings, less CO2 emission and an increase of kiln output. Calcium fluorite is supplied in bulk.
Silica sand
It is used for a wide range of applications such as ceramic, glass and construction manufacturing process. Silica sand with cement, concrete grade and ceramic grade is available from the Mediterranean basin and shipped in bulk.
Chromite Ore
Chromite is used as a raw material in the manufacturing process of refractary products thank to it high heat stability propery . It is also used in the production of ferrochromium and metallic chromium. We have available different grades from 36 % Cr2O3 up to 46 % Cr2O3.
Sintered Magnesite
Sintered magnesite is a product of calcing process of raw magnesite (magnesium carbonate). Sintered magnesite is a common material used to produce high quality refractory products. It is supplied with low and high iron grade.
Grinding Aids
The cement grinding aids are the additional materials admixed in small amounts during the cement grinding process resulting in improvement of the specific surface and grindability index of the material ground. We can supply specific products to increase fineness of cement, reduce energy consumption, increase mill output, improve strength development both initial and long term, improve the packaging of finely divided solid (pack-set) without compromising the performance of the cement.
Anthracite
Anthracite, also called hard coal contains more fixed carbon (86 percent or greater on a dry, ash-free basis) than any other form of coal and the least amount of volatile matter and it has calorific values near 35 megajoules per kilogram not much different from the calorific values for most bituminous coal. Anthracite is employed mainly in metallurgical industry as a cost-efficient substitute for coke in processes such as sintering and pelletising, as well as pulverised coal injection (PCI) and direct injection into blast furnaces. We can offer High Grade and Ultra High Grade Anthracite.
